Café la Coco is a small, cosy, perfectly formed independent café nestled in the heart of beautiful Kilkenny.
We opened our doors in November 2010 with a mission to create a place we would like to go ourselves for breakfast and lunch or just coffee and cake. The place where we know your name and your coffee order. The café that facilitates a happy, healthy and sustainable lifestyle without compromising on ingredients or generosity. From our ‘new vegan edible coffee cups’, our innovative menu and locally sourced products, Café la Coco continues to follow a fresh, eco- friendly approach to modern dining. Our aim has always been and continues to be, “to bring the very best of food and coffee, atmosphere and design”.
We strive to produce everything in- house, starting from our beautiful granola to all our famous preserves, such as pesto, hummus and even our fermentation and cultures products. All our baked goods are made fresh at the café every morning and evening. We endeavour to use the best quality, local ingredients and suppliers where possible, like;
Ballon – Free range eggs,
Seagull Bakery – Sourdough bread,
Riverfield Farm and Organic Farm Kilkenny – Fruit & Veg,
Grogan & Brown – Butcher.
 Café la Coco encompasses a real love of food, baking, coffee and design and great service in both a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We wish to offer an experience to all our customers, somewhere to truly relish good food, great coffee and a warm atmosphere.

meet our team

Hey,
We are Café la Coco, created by Sylvia and Magdalena. You know us both to see, some of you know us inside out! Here we are. Fulfilled, happy and still with incredible passion and commitment, we are with you every day.
    Sylvia is the Chef and creator of Café la Coco flavours. As the woman behind the scenes, she is always keeping things running. Often she is the one who will greet you as you come through the door and make you a great coffee. She loves the bustle of a busy café, happy staff and happy guests.
    Magda is passionate about beautiful food and coffee. Usually behind the coffee machine, as a barista she cares deeply about the quality of your coffee. She also pampers you as a pastry chef. She is the designer and the brains behind the branding. You may often see Magda up on a ladder or with a brush in hand. Her business and design skills are what make Café la Coco stand out.
